Issues 2007

In 2007 we're using a Fujitsu Lifebook T-Series Tablet PC running at 1.66 GHZ with 1GB of RAM and a partitioned hard drive (C Drive=30GB, X Drive data=50GB)

It has Intel Centrino Duo, Windows XP and Penabled WACOM.

Some of the issues so far with hardware and software have been:

  • startup times are long(ish) - over 2 minutes typically

  • cant get it to display in tablet mode via a data projector (this was subsequently fixed, it basically a setting, but the screen must be in landscape format to make it work)

  • no firewire port, necessitating a fiewire card translator as an add-on

  • no video out (same as previous model)
